Their owner was so sweet and she let us try her taiyaki! I loved it. It was warm and hot, crispy on the outside and soft and steamy inside, the black sesame filling was just the right amount of sweet and consistency. Definitely come here for that.

Stopped by this old gem of a cafe in ktown and got their new custom made-to-order boonguhbbang ().
I had one with red bean filling and one without any fillings (just like I used to have in korea when I was young). They were made hot to order and was just perfect. I was going to eat only half of each (on a diet) but ended up eating both on the spot. Hot, soft and chewy with just enough vanilla flavor.
Highly recommended!! They were so good that they reminded me of my childhood when my grandpa used to take me out for these treats in korea. -

Stopped in here to get a snack and a drink. The staff recommended peach ice tea so I went for it. One sip, I knew I wasn't happy. It was as sweet as a soft drink. I don't like sweet tea but I can handle little bit with no problem. But this was way too much. Hubby's coffee was very weak too, not enough to get the caffeine fix (second cup of the day mind you).
The fish shape pastry was delicious. The dough was on the crispy side with soft chewy middle and sweet red bean paste. We each had 1 piece and it was perfect portion to satisfy us both.
The tables and chairs are not very comfortable. We finished our dessert and left in a hurry. -

Fave coffee shop in Koreatown. My usual is the White Mocha hot and my fiance usually gets the iced caramel machiatto. They always make my white mocha tasty. Out of the many times ive been here its probably only tasted watered down once but this place has the best white mocha.

Really is 3.5 stars!
It has been ages since I've been here, but their bungeo-ppang (red bean fish bread) deserves a review. Why only 3.5 stars? Sigh! Stars are knocked off for lack lust as coffee and chocolate shop, but those red bean fish breads are worth the visit. They also have Oreo filling... Either people love or hate them, so you be the judge on those Oreo fillings.
The service... It is either Alaska (cold) or Hawaii (warm), so order at your own risk.
